Artist Statement

I was born in 1986 in Eskisehir. After studying Anthropology and String Instrument Making, I entered Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. I graduated in 2018 and started my Proficiency in Art education at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Art and Design in the same semester. I completed my Proficiency in Art education in 2022. In 2024, I participated in the 9th Canakkale Biennial.

In my paintings, I try to create a balance that will save the spontaneous from chaotic and the technical from lifelessness. The point I try to reach, the point I try to reach in daily life; the aesthetics of simplicity. In order to capture this simplicity, I try to create an unhurried language of painting. While determining the subjects of my paintings, my aim is not to get stuck in the everyday, but not to remain oblivious to the questions and problems of the time. The desire to reach the authentic and the simplicity and spontaneity of the authentic with the least possible movement and what I have experienced in this process constitute the source of my desire to produce.
